I spent much of the morning preparing to teach tomorrow. We plan to leave around 5:00am to travel to Hosanna. When we arrive, we will drop our bags and head to Losho for a program around 11:00am (a program is what we would call a meeting or a service). It will be a long day for all of us, but that is why we are here. It will be the worst for Ryan; his flight is scheduled to arrive just after midnight that morning. Hopefully he can get some sleep on the plane.
After lunch, Mesfin and I met up with Elias, our driver. He is our go-to man because he is reliable and safe. That’s a hard combination to find in Ethiopia, but important for us. The roads here are chaos. People, cars, and animals all share the road and traffic signs appear to be optional.
Elias drove us across town to buy bibles. We purchased 192 bibles for our countryside trip. Mesfin explained that many people do not have the money or opportunity to have one. I shared with him how many of you had gladly given money to purchase these bibles. They will surely be a blessing to many.
After returning to the hotel, we parted ways for the day. I’ve enjoyed having time alone with Mesfin and Zerihun to catch up, but I’m ready to get to work. I’m excited to have Ryan with me and looking forward to our first day of teaching tomorrow.
